The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) dance department is presenting its first public season for the year next week. Entitled “Kora”, the program includes new works by international guest choreographers Oded Ronen and Amaury Lebrun, and local choreographers Rachel Ogle and Kim McCarthy.
Oded Ronen is an Israeli dancer and choreographer for the Xpats Dance Project and a graduate of both LABAN and Bodyworks. French choreographer Amaury Lebrun, winner of the International choreographic Competition, is the artistic director of the Amaury Dance Company.
