The much-loved Australian musical Hot Shoe Shuffle first hit the stage in 1992.  A national and international success, Hot Shoe Shuffle paved the way for musicals such as Tap Dogs and The Boy From Oz.  One of the longest-running musicals ever to be produced in Australia, Hot Shoe Shuffle has won a bevy of awards, including the Lawrence Olivier Award for Choreography, an ARIA award for its soundtrack album, four Australian “Mo” Awards, two Green Room awards and an Advance Australia Award for Services to the Arts.

Now Hot Shoe Shuffle returns to the Australian stage, with a national tour planned for 2013 and the search is on for a new cast.  “The show centres around the seven Tap Brothers and casting them is tricky.  Not only do they have to be great singers and actors but they have to be amazing tap dancers,“ says Associate Director, Drew Anthony.  There is also a female lead role, a sister, April.

Auditions will be held in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.  Email auditions@hotshoeshuffle.com for more information but be quick as auditions are due to start asap!
