A shimmering fusion of circus, cabaret, music and 1920s glamour will take over the Sydney Opera House Studio once more when GATSBY at the Green Light returns from 13 December 2025. Following a sell-out premiere season, the wildly popular immersive experience is back with a dazzling international cast, seductive energy, and fresh creative flair.

Presented by the Sydney Opera House and Caper & Crow, GATSBY at the Green Light transforms the Studio into an opulent speakeasy, drawing on the elegance and abandon of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Directed by Craig Ilott, the production delivers an intoxicating mix of aerial feats, sultry vocals, dance, and decadent theatrics.

“GATSBY at the Green Light is an experience we hope to be more than the sum of its parts – extraordinary aerial displays, awe-inspiring vocals, contemporary music and terrific choreography melded together into a party designed to reunite a great love story,” says Ilott.

Front and centre is the magnetic Odette, whose soulful voice sets the tone for an evening of spectacle. Canadian performer Spencer Craig leads as Gatsby, paired with Caitlin Thomson-Moylan as Daisy. Their aerial duet adds a visceral layer of emotion to the narrative of longing and fantasy. The show also features German hat-stand artist Oscar Kaufmann, British aerialist Miranda Menzies, and crowd favourites including Australian showgirl Bettie Bombshell, New Zealand’s tap-dancing dynamo Bayley Graham, and Belgian juggling virtuoso Florian Brooks.

New additions to the ensemble include Ukraine’s Mariia Borysiak and Australia’s Jacob McPherson as the younger Gatsby and Daisy, adding depth to the story’s romantic arc.

Sydney Opera House Head of Contemporary Performance Ebony Bott describes the show as “a truly spectacular night out” that continues to enchant audiences. “The sell-out success of its premiere season proves audiences remain captivated by Gatsby’s glamour, and we’re delighted to once again extend the most coveted invitation of the season.”

Part of the Opera House’s Green Light series, which champions contemporary performance, GATSBY at the Green Light exemplifies the platform’s commitment to bold, genre-blurring entertainment.

Tickets start at $59 and are expected to sell quickly.
