Dancehouse will present Sarah Aitken’s SET from 22-26 July as part of the Housemate Performance Program.
In SET, Aitken invites audiences to consider the space between the mundane and the spectacular, the sublime and the ridiculous, the common place and the distinctly uncommon. Using regular everyday items and distorting these with humour and droll sensibility, Aiken’s choreography reimagines the way we look at humanity by playfully challenging our understanding of perspective, scale and perception.
