The four artists who will compete for the Keir Choreographic Award at Carriageworks in Sydney were announced after the semi-finals concluded at Dancehouse in Melbourne on Sunday 13 July.

The four choreographers are:

Sarah Aiken
Matthew Day
Atlanta Eke
Jane McKernan

These four artists will compete for the first prize of $30 000 and the audience choice prize of $10 000.

Carriageworks, Dancehouse and the Keir Foundation have partnered for the first time to present the Keir Choreographic Award, the first Australian prize dedicated to commissioning new choreographic works and to bringing significant support and increased profiling to the contemporary dance sector, both nationally and internationally.

The finals of the Keir Choreographic award will be held in Sydney from 17-19 July at Carriageworks.  More info here.
