De Quincey Co is delighted to invite EOI from professional dancers, artists and wild cards to participate in improvisation research lab IMPRO-EXCHANGE with Frank Van De Ven - Bodyweather Amsterdam.

The labs are designed to explore the nature of improvisation between dancers and artists from different backgrounds, ages and traditions. Importantly the focus is on a collective as opposed to an individual rationale, forwarding a group sensibility but also fierce independence. The aim is to generate a forum for dialogue, exchange and discussion around strategies and processes of improvisation. In curating and leading these labs, the organisers would like to work with artists who have a focus on improvisation and who see this context as an opportunity for their professional development.

Dates: Fri 24 Nov, University of Sydney; Sat 25 and Sun 26 Nov, the Drill Hall 10am to 4pm all 3 days.

FREE Participants are encouraged to give a tax-deductible donation to DQC of at least $50 to enable these labs EOI should include a biography and tell why the lab is relevance to your practice.

Deadline: Fri 3 Nov
