Entries for the 2020 Sydney Eisteddfod are currently open, closing March 13.

Including categories for ballet, contemporary, jazz, demi-character and modern expressive/lyrical, the highlights of the Sydney Eisteddfod dance section are the Sydney Eisteddfod Ballet Scholarship and the Sydney Eisteddfod Dance of Champions.

Australian Ballet Artistic Director, David McAllister AM, encourages all those passionate about their craft to take part.“Sydney Eisteddfod… is an opportunity to get out on stage which was always a highlight of my career as a dancer and even as a student,” he says. “You get to put into action all the things you do every day endlessly to perfect your art.”

The final of the Sydney Eisteddfod Ballet Scholarship will be held Sunday 23 August at the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Eisteddfod Dance of Champions will be held Sunday 13 September at the University of New South Wales.

To enter any of the dance categories head to the Sydney Eisteddfod website.
