WA’s new flagship contemporary dance company Co3 will present its first season this October at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia. Entitled “re:Loaded”, the program features work by Larissa McGowan, Gavin Webber and the company’s artistic director Raewyn Hill.
Hill’s work is entitled Carnivale and is described as an offering of ritual and endurance. McGowan’s Transducer, created in 2012 for Tasdance, is the second work on the program; the third is a new work by Gavin Weber entitled What’s Left.
Alongside this program, 58 members of Co:Youth, the company’s youth’s ensemble, will perform a rew-imagining of Hill’s Fugue, which was first choreographed and produced by Dancenorth in 2012 for the Australian Ballet’s 50th anniversary.
