As part of the Melbourne Festival, Dancehouse is presenting two double bills.  Entitled “The Sacred and the Profane – Rituals of Now”, the theme of the program is ritual – its role in our culture and its impact on the way we interact with one another, both publicly and privately.  Each double bill includes one Australian and one international dance work.

Program One, “The Sacred and the Profane”, (14-15 October) features Zero, Zero by Australian artists Tony Yap, Yumi Umiumare and Matthew Gingold, and The Coffee Drinkers by Compagnie Moussoux-Bonte, from Belguim.

Program Two, “Rituals of Now” (17-18 October) features Solides, Lisboa by France’s Eleonore Didier and Still Point Turning by local dance artist Linda Luke.
