The Royal Ballet School's Anita Young

Anita Young, the admired teacher from the Royal Ballet School, UK, will visit Australia in April to give masterclasses.

She will appear first at the Annette Roselli Dance Academy in Brisbane and then the McDonald College in Sydney.

Anita trained at the Royal Ballet School then joined the Royal Ballet in 1968. As soloist, she danced many principal roles and received the Evening Standard Award for Achievement. On leaving The Royal Ballet, Anita joined the Northern Ballet Theatre as Ballet Mistress and taught The Royal Ballet School Junior Associates. Anita specialises in Cecchetti Major examination work and has been a guest teacher for schools and companies in the UK, Malta, Germany, USA, South Africa, Italy and Canada, and most recently, the Paris Opera Ballet School.


The classes have limited places and are open to senior ballet students.
