Circa goes to Spain with the Brandenburg Orchestra

Australian contemporary circus company Circa has again collaborated with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra to create a new production entitled Spanish Baroque: Brandenburg and Circa.

The score, created by Paul Dyer, is inspired by the Brandenburg’s ARIA Award winning Tapas album, and features plenty of percussion, guitar and theorbo, and lashings of violin bravado, with music by Albéniz, Merula, Murcia, Martinez and more.

Spanish Baroque opens tonight in Sydney and then moves to Melbourne and Brisbane.

Tour dates are:

May 3 – 12. City Recital Hall, Sydney

May 13 and 14, Elixabeth Murdoch Hall, Melbourne

May 16, Qld Performing Arts Centre, Brisbane.
