Five Australian choreographers will participate in a week-long choreographic development program in Canberra next week. Entitled “strange attractor: the place in the middle”, the program will culminate in two public showings of work at Gorman Arts Centre, June 27 and 28 at 6pm. The showings will be accompanied by open audience discussions with the artists, an opportunity for public and other artists to be a part of the making.

Running annually since 2013, "strange attractor" has developed from being a presentation of ten minute works to today’s week-long residency. The artists who have been selected to participate are Olivia Fyfe and Alison Plevey (Canberra), Amelia McQueen and Janine Proost (Melbourne), and Laura Boynes (Perth), They will be mentored, provoked and led by Margie Medlin, former Critical Path Director. Medlin will also present an artist talk Monday 22 June, at 7pm, at the Ralph Wilson Theatre.
