Charlie Chaplin inspires Tasdance's latest

Comments Comments

Tasdance and Greek dance company Jukstapoz will present Fragile Matter in Hobart and Launceston this March.

Created by Jukstapoz, Fragile Matter is inspired by Charlie Chaplin’s epic film The Great Dictator and utilises dance, theatre, storytelling and puppetry. The work has been performed around the world.

Using the body as metaphor for war and unity, eight embattled dancers rally, resist and break out in a work that is both fiercely physical and intimate, with a sound score to match.

Fragile Matter is presented as part of the Ten Days on the Island Festival, 2017. For more info, including bookings, head to the Ten Days on the Island website
