Candidates for Prix de Lausanne selected

Following a rigorous selection process, the candidates for the next Prix de Lausanne, to be held in Switzerland in 2024, have been announced. A nine member jury panel viewed the videos of 425 applications in total. They chose 88 candidates to attend the event in person, including seven Australians and two New Zealanders.

They are:

Jenson Blight (17) from Qld Ballet Academy

Ed Cooley (18) from Qld Collge of Dance

Noah Cossgriff (18) from the Australian Academy of Classical Ballet (Melbourne)

Ruby Day (17) from Qld Ballet Academy

Georgia Lorange (16) from DanceNorth Academy (Sydney)

Chelsea-Lee Nicholls (18) from Tanya Pearson Academy (Sydney)

Giselle Osborne (16) from Qld National Ballet School

 Miguel Lorenzo Herrera (18) from the NZ School of Dance 

and Lauren Whycherley (15) from Papilio Atelier (NZ).

The competition will run from January 28 to February 4, and will be followed by a special Rising Stars performancefeaturing past and present Prix de Lausanne winners and finalists.
