Are you an early career choreographer?

Next Wave is calling out for proposals from early career choreographers, artists, curators, producers, writers, musicians and thinkers for the 2020 Next Wave Festival.

Established in 1984, Next Wave is a platform that enables a new generation of Australian artists to take creative risks. Next Wave now manages cultural hub Brunswick Mechanics Institute, leads artist development programs and produces a biennial festival, all of which reflect a commitment to social and cultural diversity, environmental sustainability and inclusion.

The call out is open to early career artists in Australia. All applicants will be considered for Next Wave’s 2019 artist development programs: Kickstart and Next Wave X. These programs provide artists with creative and professional development support in the 12-months leading up to the Festival, including funds to create work, residencies and workshops, mentorships, ongoing staff support and industry opportunities.

Further details about Next Wave Festival 2020 applications and artist development programs are available at nextwave.org.au. Applications are due at 11.59pm on Sunday 24 February 2019.
