The boards of Buzz Dance Theatre and STEPS Youth Dance Company have announced that they will be joining forces to create a new West Australian contemporary dance company.
The decision has come after months of consultation. Both companies will continue their respective operations until the end of the 2014. During 2014 the companies will commence the transition.
The idea of the merger is to create a more sustainable future for the activities of both companies. The new company will encompass the aims of both of the companies in their current formats, offering extraordinary dance experiences to young people, supporting dance in education and maintaining creative opportunities for chogreographers.
