This year’s Adelaide Cabaret Festival features works by some great Australian dance artists, including Larissa McGowan and Aaron Cash.

Cher, choreographed and performed by Larissa McGowan, explores the persona and characters of the famous pop chameleon. Mashing up gender, power and pop culture, this contemporary dance work sees McGowan portray Cher as an icon for transformation and ageing as a female artist.

Last Dance, Forgotten Masters is a solo work created and performed by Aaron Cash. An original Tap Dog and the created and choreographer of Ballet Revolucion, Cash has worked with a diverse range of artists and companies, including Twlya Tharp Dance Company, Baryshnikov, Cher and Michael Jackson. In this show he dances solo to bring to life the work of three forgotten dance legends.

Adelaide Cabaret Festival takes place June 7-22. For more information about these shows and the full Adelaide Cabaret Festival program, head to www.adelaidecabaretfestival.com.au
