Dance film Knock, by Running Man, is the only Australian film to be included in this year’s Annual Dance on Camera Festival, to be held in New York.  The festival line-up includes narrative, documentary and experimental features and shorts and is co-presented by the Film Society of the Lincoln Centre and Dance Films Association.  It will be held from 30 January to 3 February.

Starring Helpmann Award winner Alisdair Macindoe, Knock is the tale of the last man on earth, as told by three boys at a sleep over. As their story telling unfolds a cross over occurs between the fictional mans life in solitude and the future of one of the boy’s very own reality.

Knock’s Australian premiere took place at the Made in Melbourne Film Festival, where it took out the Audience Choice Award.  The film has also screened at San Francisco Film Festival, Movies My Movers, Dance Media Japan, Sinema Dans Ankara and will also screen in Greece this January at the Athens Video Dance Project.  Knock also won bronze at the 2014 Australian Cinematography Society Awards.
