Ausdance National has announced that Roslyn Dundas will take over the reigns of Ausdance from January 2013.  Dundas will replace outgoing Director Julie Dyson AM, who will retire at the end of this year after over thirty years of service to the organisation.  Dance Australia will profile Dyson on the website after her official farewell at the end of November.

It’s easy to see why Dundas has been chosen to succeed Dyson – with her background in dance and politics she is very well suited to the role.  She was Director of Ausdance ACT for nearly three years from 2005.  Prior to that appointment, Dundas was the youngest woman elected to an Australian parliament when she joined the ACT Legislative Assembly in 2001.  She is currently Director of the ACT Council of Social Service, a position she has held since 2008.  Dundas has extensive research experience, is a seasoned media performer and has worked collaboratively with other organisations throughout her career.  She has written about dance for The Canberra Times for several years.

Dance Australia wishes Roslyn Dundas all the best in her new role!
