ABC’s Artscape will be broadcasting a half-hour documentary about Lucy Guerin’s Weather, on Tuesday 27 August at 10pm. Also entitled Weather, the documentary, by Melbourne-based film maker Natasha Gadd. follows Guerin and her six dancers as they create and present the work.
Lucy Guerin’s Weather premiered at the Melbourne Festival in 2012. It’s a work that explores the form and effects of weather phenomena – the uncontrollable power of nature and its impact on humanity. The dancers who perform in the documentary are Talitha Maslin, Alisdair Macindoe, Kirstie McCracken, Harriet Richie, Lee Serle and Lilian Steiner.
