The 19th International Solo Dance & Theatre Festival, to be held in Stuttgart, Germany from 12-15 March 2015, will be a tribute to the late Tanja Liedtke.

The International Solo Dance & Theatre Festival is an international choreographic competition.  Held over four days, the festival sees contemporary choreographers showcase their most recent work before an internationally-renowned jury.  The jury awards six prizes in total, three each in the categories ‘choreography’ and ‘dance’. Two further prizes will be awarded by the audience.   Winners take part in tours in May and November, travelling both within Germany and internationally.

Interested choreographers should submit applications online.  From these applications the festival’s trustees will then choose 18 competitors.  These competitors will be invited to the festival and given the opportunity to perform their work before a five person, international jury. The jury will award three prizes in the "choreography" category and three prizes in the "dance" category, all ranging between €3,500 and €1,500.

The festival focuses on the promotion of young artists. To this end, competitors should be under 30 years old. The choreographed solo dance pieces submitted should be under a year old and between 9 and 12 minutes long.

Applications to compete in the festival are open until 11 November 2014.
