The delightful children’s all-dancing mouse, Angelina Ballerina, is returning to Australia for the summer holidays. And this time she’s taking charge of a musical (or “mousical”).
The show is set once again at the Camembert Academy, where Angelina and her friends have won a spot on the TV show, Dancing With Mice!. All types of dancing are featured: ballet, hip-hop, salsa tap and even gymnastics.
Angelina Ballerina The Mousical is a UK production directed by Miranda Larson, who has written for theatre and TV shows such as Thomas the Tank Engine and Bob the Builder Live. The choreographer is Matthew Cole, who has worked on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, among many other productions.
Angelina and her friends will appear at the Canberra Theatre Centre from December 12 to 15, the Sydney Opera House from December 19 to 24, the Adelaide Festival Centre from December 31 to January 5, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre from January 8 to January 12 and the Arts Centre Melbourne from January 15 to 19. It is suitable for children aged from about 3 to 12. See www.angelinaballerinalive.com
