Q: What do you get when you combine Lucid Dance Theatre with Brisbane’s independent dance artists?
A: All Sorts
Developed out of a desire to bring Brisbane’s community of independent dance artists together, Lucid Dance Theatre invited choreographers and dancers to create and present short preparatory works. The resulting performance program, entitled “All Sorts” is designed to nurture choreographic development and engage dialogue between artists, producers and presenters.
The evening will consist of five choreographers, Vanessa Mafa-Keane, Glen McCurley, Kristopher Brian, Stephanie Pokoj and Louise Deleur. Each choreographer is approaching the evening from different stages of their choreographic careers – hence the title of the show. Dancers for the project are from Lucid Dance Theatre and Lucid Dance Rising Stars program, freelance dancer Emma Taylor along with opera Singer, Jordin Steele.
