Australian Dance Theatre has just finished its performance program for the year with a celebration of new talent at its home at the Odeon in Norwood in Adelaide.

The company staged "Cultivate:One", a season of new works by company artists Brianna Kell, Sebastian Geilings and Zachary Lopez.

"Cultivate" is a platform for established and emerging artists to develop and present their work for audiences on Kaurna yerta (Adelaide). Brianna Kell presented NOW / AGAIN, a delve into the intricate relationship between time and human connection. Zachary Lopez's Down Trodden Punk used abstractionism and dance theatre to spotlight language as a tool of oppression, exploring the stark parallels between the White Australian Policy and the 16th century clergy in the Philippines. Sebastian Geilings's How Much Of You Is Repetition?, his first major work, was a surreal dance piece about the quirky and nonsensical facets of "dysregulation".

The season's celebrations were augmented with DJs, toasties by RODEO, and a pop-up bar from Miss Zilm. Artist Shane Cook created a mural in the theatre’s foyer.
