If you’re in Adelaide and love flamenco dance then you may already know that Australian flamenco group Bandaluzia will be performing as part of the Adelaide Festival Centre’s Guitar Festival this August.
Led by flamenco guitarist Damian Wright, Bandaluzia also features dancers Jessica Statham and Rosalie Cocchiaro, Ben Hauptmann on mandolin and James Hauptmann on percussion. The group is inspired by contemporary flamenco, whilst embracing its Andalusian traditions. Bandaluzia is known for weaving many musical influences into its performances, including jazz, Eastern melodies and South American rhythms.
