Congratulations to David Bioni-Odo, a student of the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) who has been accepted in the Banff Centre’s Indigenous residence program in Canada. David is one of just 12 Indigenous dancers from around the world to be selected to participate in the month-long program.

The four-week intensive focuses on technique, improvisation, and cultural processes and knowledge in performance, culminating in the presentation of a short choreographic work.

David is thrilled about the opportunity. “I’m overwhelmed but really excited about the residency,” he says. “This will be my first time going overseas. The teachers at ACPA always encourage us to try out for things like this, and this time it paid off”.
