The National Theatre Ballet School will present its "Winter Gala of Dance" at the National Theatre, St Kilda, Melbourne, in July.

This triple bill has something for all ballet lovers, from the youngest child to the experienced devotee. On the program is Pas De Quatre, in which five final year dancers – Ellen Bremer, Nicole Lowther, Clarabelle Ling, Yukie Tashiro and Hiroko Tsuda – will bring to life the roles originally created for the legendary ballerinas, Lucile Grahn, Carlotta Grisi, Fanny Cerrito and Marie Taglioni.

The program will also include the return of The Pied Piper, first brought to the stage in 2006 by Director of Ballet, Beverly Jane Fry. The characters of Hamelin will be performed by students from all three schools that make up the NTBS.

Finally, Les Patineurs (The Skaters) will feature dances from the National Ballet School Full-Time and Senior students.

One of Australia’s oldest Ballet Schools, established in 1939, the NTBS offers a range of dance classes from pre-school to full-time pre-professional courses. Beverly Jane Fry has danced the majority of the classical principal repertoire over a distinguished 21-year career. Her interpretations have been recognised for their remarkable range of artistic and dramatic qualities and strong technical expertise.

Dates: July 1 and 2, 2017.
