From the 8-10 August, independent dance artists and musicians will perform together in “Vitality”, at the Seymour Centre in Chippendale, Sydney. Choreographer and composer teams Martin del Amo and Alex Pozniak, Kathryn Puie and Daniel Blinkhorn, Sarah-Vyne Vassallo and Andrew Batt-Rawden have worked together to delve into each others’ artforms.
The three teams have approached the collaboration very differently, with styles of collaboration ranging from the Cage/Cunningham idea of creating work separately and bringing it together for workshopping or a very detailed tight-knit moment-by-moment approach, with inspiration drawn from the collaborators that directly influence each others’ work.
The project has been developed by DirtyFeet and Chronology Arts, organisations established to support emerging artists in their fields.
