What’s it like as a young person chasing your dream, living in a big city? To look forward into an unknown future, to want to show the world who you really are . . .and who you could be?

The dancers of youMove Company, based in Sydney, have been sharing their thoughts on these subjects and more via a project blog for the last four months. While rehearsing new contemporary dance works by Australian and overseas guest choreographers, youMove’s emerging artists have made over 200 posts revealing to an invisible universe and anonymous readership their stories, opinions, inspirations and thoughts about dance, life, love . . . and everything in between.

Now the company is presenting 4Tell, an evening of dance based on these subjects curated by artistic director Kay Armstrong.

The program comprises Multiplicity by Anton, By Looking by Kevin Privett with emerging composer Dean English; Boundaries.2 by Ian Colless with original score by Madeline Johns; 3rd time over – solo work by company member Angela French; Last Place to Go by David Williams (virtual residency program with international guest choreographer David Williams and featuring “guest” return Sean Marcs).

Where: Riverside Theatres, Parramatta, October 27-29
