Mia was born in Melbourne in 1995. She began her ballet training with Anna Veretenikova and later, Jane Moore. She was accepted into The Australian Ballet School in 2010 where she trained for four years before taking a professional contract with Queensland Ballet in January 2014 as member of the corps de ballet. Mia has performed and toured nationally and internationally, dancing in many leading roles by acclaimed choreographers over the past 10 years with Queensland Ballet. She achieved the rank of Principal Artist in 2022 after her performance in the title role of Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon. Mia returned to Melbourne to join The Australian Ballet in January 2024 as a soloist.

“To me, music paints life, and as dancers we are kind of like the paint brush! What I love the most about a good song is when it gets to that part that really captures a feeling of euphoria or heightened emotion, then it vanishes and changes, much the same as live performance.”

“Whether it’s quiet contemplation, a hit of joy, a solemn moment, or a step back in time, I’ve got you covered with some of my personal favourites.”
