Now: High school PDHPE/ dance teacher.

Throughout my studies there are so many life lessons I have learned in such a short period of time. A key lesson which I still use every day is that you need to be open to all opportunities. Big or small, those opportunities to step up into a more challenging role or take on more responsibilities are so important. By taking these opportunities it has allowed for a great deal of personal growth since completing my studies in 2021.

Learning that you can never be “over-prepared” was vital. With such a dynamic and ever-changing world we are currently living in; you never know what challenges are around the corner. From this experience it has been extremely important to cover all bases and have back up plans for your back up plans to make the most of the teaching experience.

The greatest take away I took from my studies was to surround myself with supportive people who challenge me to be my best self and never let me give up on my goals. This allowed me to realise how capable I am as a dancer and as a teacher which was an unexpected journey I took throughout my time as a university student.
