What is the main lesson you learnt?
The main overall lesson I learned was the value of adaptability, both physically and mentally. In any creative endeavour, flexibility is key, not just in how we approach the work, but in how we respond to challenges and feedback. I realized that staying open to new ideas is essential for growth. By stepping outside my comfort zone, trying unfamiliar techniques, and embracing different perspectives, I was able to expand my creative abilities in unexpected ways.
This helped me grow as an artist, allowing me to express myself more authentically. I found new ways to channel emotions and ideas into my work, making it more meaningful. Working closely with others also reminded me of the importance of being a supportive teammate. Collaboration became a space where I could both learn from and uplift those around me. It reinforced the idea that creativity thrives when we support and challenge each other.
What was the most significant creative or artistic challenge you faced during your studies, and how did you navigate it? What did you learn from that experience?
One of the biggest artistic challenges I faced was building confidence in my choreographic ideas. Being surrounded by so much talent, I often compared myself to others and questioned the value of my work. To overcome this, I chose to embrace creative risk-taking. I let go of the need to be “right” and focused on exploration without judgment.
This shift allowed me to take more chances and welcome feedback as a tool for growth. I learned that creativity often comes from being vulnerable and taking risks. By trusting the process and my instincts, I began to value authenticity over perfection. Ultimately, this experience taught me to believe in my own voice and to express it with confidence.
