Congratulations to Angela Goh, recipient of the $50,000 Keir Choreographic Award, for her work, Sky Blue Mythic. A solo performed by Goh at the Keir Choreographic Awards to a live operatic soundscape by Corin Ileto, Sky Blue Mythic moves away from anthropocentrism by imagining dance as a non-human entity.

Congratulations also to Amrita Hepi, recipient of the Audience Choice Award of $10,000 for her work Rinse. Also a solo work  performed by the choreographer, Rinse is based on a dynamic improvisational score and questions whether being on the brink of extinction, or endings, has intensified the seduction of the past.

Making the announcement, Keir Choreographic Award Founder said, "Congratulations to Angela Goh, Corin Ileto and team for the glorious Sky Blue Mythic. A wonderful piece of sharply defined choreographic art that resonates with our times. And congratulations to Amrita Hepi, winner of the audience award for such a personal and beautifully observed piece of dance. It was an enormous privilege to be involved in supporting all eight dynamic and diverse pieces of best of Australian choreographic work."
