Calling young dancers!
There’s a new ballet competition in town… the Brisbane International Ballet Grand Prix. The inaugural event will take place in 2020, March 20 – March 22.
The competition is open to local and international non-professional dancers, age 10-19, who will compete for a prize pool of more than $30,000.
A limited number of dancers will compete in three age categories:
Junior (ages 10-11)
Intermediate (ages 12-14)
Senior (ages 15-19)
Prize money will be awarded as trust accounts to further each winner’s dance education.
The competition will take place over three days, during which dancers will participate in adjudicated classes, perform both a classical and a contemporary solo piece, and perform in an evening Gala, before the semi-finals and grand final are held.
