WIN tickets to 'Alice' live at the Royal Opera House!
If you can't see the Australian Ballet performing Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, or if you just can't wait to see it again, here is your chance to see it – for free! – performed by the Royal Ballet in London.
Event & Village Cinemas in partnership with Trafalgar Releasing have announced a brand new cinema program that they will screen exclusively in Australia: the Royal Opera House 2017/18 Live Cinema Season. Featuring filmed performances from the Royal Opera House in London, the program presents the very best opera and ballet from the iconic venue, captured in jaw-dropping detail for Australian audiences to enjoy as if they were there themselves.
Presented exclusively, six incredible operas and four beautiful ballets will screen across 14 Event Cinemas nationwide and five Village Cinemas in Victoria and Hobart from October 2017 - July 2018.
The first Ballet is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, which the Royal Ballet commissioned from Christopher Wheeldon for its own ensemble. Tickets are normally $20 for adults (already a bargain) but we are giving away FIVE DOUBLE PASSES!
The performance will be screened on Saturday, November 25 at 1pm, Sunday November 26 at 1pm and Wednesday November 29 at 10.30 am (in NSW,Qld, SA,WA and NT) and 11 am (Vic and Tas).
The cast includes many of those in the original cast: Lauren Cuthbertson, Australian Stephen McRae and former Royal Ballet Principal Zenaida Yanowsky, who is coming out retirement to perform the role of the Queen of Hearts.
