The much-anticipated American Ballet Theatre (ABT) season in Brisbane will see the full company travel to Australia to perform.
The stellar line-up includes David Hallberg, Paloma Herrera, Daniil Simkin, Cory Stearns and Misty Copeland.
Gillian Murphy and James Whiteside, who visited Brisbane earlier this year to promote the season, will also appear on the tour.
ABT will present two programs at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC – Swan Lake, choreographed by the company’s artistic director Kevin McKenzie, and a triple bill, "Three Masterpieces", featuring Fancy Free by Jerome Robbins, Bach Partita by Twlya Tharp and Seven Sonatas by Alexei Ratmansky.
Swan Lake will be performed 28 August – 4 September, 2014, and “Three Masterpieces” will be presented 5 - 7 September. Both seasons will take place at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC, Cultural Precinct, South Bank, Brisbane.
